This is the companion scenario to the Arctic Tsunami 05-01-2019 scenario I did a few months ago. Was delayed by Hurricane Irma! The civilian traffic took me two weeks of my free time to build. You CAN win as the Russians and in fact last night I sank first the USS San Jacinto (CG-56) and then the USS Eisenhower (CVN-69) to submarine tactics for a Triumph despite loosing my Syrian (Khmeinem) Air Base and all of my Russian squadrons! I also totally destroyed the Russians with a loss of only 6 F/A-18C/E/Fs in another play test. This scenario is a HARM/SEAD chess match that rewards those who really consider their missions and will frustrate you if you don't . Enjoy.
OK, tweaked again! But for the better (of course). I moved the Carrier Strike Group further west and backed the time up to midnight Beirut Time (4/30 22:00 UTC). The war still really starts at 08:00 Beirut Time/06:00 Zulu/UTC but your really about 6 hours from contact and positioned for combat and you have the time to change the CSG/CVBG aircraft load outs and missions without having to go to the Editor. So it's still about 18 hours of combat with 6 hours to prepare before contact.
Tweaked 12/04/2017 to remove collective responsibility from NATO/Russia to avoid the IDF totally going to war with one of the other. Have to say was interesting seeing Harpoons coming at my CSG/CVBG in a late play test but not very realistic! The IDF may take a few pot shots back at either side but is unlikely to become a full belligerent at this early stage. Removing the Collective Responsibility from the two Superpowers seems to help.
