Some key points:

- The British are beginning to make a fight of it in the Atlantic attacking German U-Boats in the convoy lanes and restoring some confidence in Allied shipping.
- Heavy fighting in Egypt. The British lose 2 Corps and Reconnaissance and the Italians lose 2 Armies. German Maritime and Strategic Bombers operating out of Rhodes and Crete attempt to disrupt supply as Italian submarines probe the ports of Alexandria, there seems to be no destroyers in the Mediterranean.
- Iraq still holds as patch work forces were sent to deal with a patch work garrison.

Citizens don't believe the Nazi's Propaganda!!!

After two years of war, Axis' power only owns France... Moscow, Leningrad and Stalingrad are far from the frontline.

Futhermore, the two first cities are well protected by heavy fortified lines.

Winter is coming [:D][:D] and panzer's won't be able to advance for a while. Russian's forces will recover and will fight hard!

In Egypt after months of offensive, the axis forces has not conquered nothing but sand's places... US is at the right of the corner...

The battle at the Atlantic Ocean is open to both sides.

Believe us. The future will be hard, but we will win the war!!!

Main facts

Soviet High Command has raised a great new Army (see the graphic below) to face the Axis forces. Our main three cities are well defended, so OKW will have to choose which one of these cities will attack in first place. German forces are not strong enough to attack all along the fronline.

During this winter German forces took their fist casualties (also the Italians). Good!

In the west, subs activity is a fact. Wester vessels work hard to prevent it.

In Africa. As we said. Egypt is quite safe. In fact, El Alamein is back to British hands. Iraq will be back in the next turn or the next one so far.

So. We didn't win the war (yet) but we didn't loose it... Which is very important!

1942, August

Allied High Command feels trust in the Final Victory.

The Allied Bombing Campaing has started with three bombers (2 US + 1 British) which has devastaded four mines in Western Europe with very low losses.

Raiding activity has been non-existent from many weeks!

Egypt is well defended and Iraq is back to our hands.

(BTW, something strange happened with the convoy lines, they have changed!!! I don't know why!)

In Russia, our forces hold the line with dignity. Axis forces took losses every turn (not high, but they loss armies, which is quite good). Any major city has been lost and Filand is split by two.

Victory won't be easy, but we are on the right way!

Yes I am pretty sure which the changes to the game engine released yesterday, convoys may not re-route as per UK Decision Event in FW 9.1. This was fixed in the most recent version of the campaign available in my signature.

September 13, 1942

Army Group North

The key northern city of Leningrad remains in Soviet control. German controls the South-West gates to the city, and the Soviets control the South-East. With other key objectives along the Eastern Front draining resources the siege of the city has not gone as originally planned. The Finnish however have had great success in their offensive and have recaptured the Mannerheim line where they continue to assault the Red Army's defensive positions.

Army Group Center

The Battle for Moscow has proven bloody for both sides, the Soviets fight dearly for every inch of soil along their entrenched positions. Germany has lost 4 Infantry Corps, 4 Infantry Armies and 2 Panzer Corps, and most of those losses have come between the battle for Moscow and Stalingrad.

The Atlantic

Maritime Bombers operating from Iceland were responsible for the summer massacre of the German Navy and the Kriegsmarine and ever since the Atlantic U-boat campaign has been mostly paused, but it is to early for the British to declare victory at sea!

The Mediterranean

The planned attack on Malta has been abandoned, and the British have not shown the strength to march further then El Alamein. All the Vichy States remain neutral.
