I saw where about 15 years ago the USMC gave him a promotion to lance corporal. [:)]

Remember watching him with my grandma. This surprises me because I didn't know he was still going. RIP

My father and I still watch him on the Andy Griffith Show and Gomer Pyle - in reruns. I can remember watching both shows when they weren't reruns.
RIP USMC Gomer Pyle.
