Id like 1776 but then I have to contact JohnTillergames.com to get an install and serial from them to get the latest version. I want to help out a fellow gamer but Im lazy and would almost rather spend $40 to buy it from them to avoid it all.

There is no install key, serial, etc. Just load the game from CD and pick up the patch at the HPS site.

That used to be true but since Tiller broke with HPS he has been updating his games on JohnTillergames.com. On his site he now employs a
serial key just like Matrix games. So if you want the latest version you have to prove to them in some way that you have a legal copy from HPS and they will issue a serial key so you can install their updates.

There is no patch for 1776 (except on the HPS site), and the changes Tiller made for some of the other games are miniscule. I bought these games via mail years ago and never touched them. Don't think I'll have any luck finding receipts.

I just can't throw them in the garbage. Recycling you know [;)]
