So whats your treat?

Post by Red2112 »

With the recent halloween sale, are you going to "trick" yourself (oh, I didn´t mean to spend that money) and give yourself a "treat"? [:D]

If so, what will it be?

I´ll go first... It might be Eagle Day to Bombing the Reich!

Happy and safe Halloween to all!

Oh if it was just a matter of cash.

I don't need any war games though.

Now a husband that plays them, oh that would be so cool :)

I've stopped dreaming of the impossible though. I now just ask Santa to bring me a Harlequin cowboy. Seems more reasonable.

What do you want a husband for MrsWargamer? There's plenty of men that would play with you without having to get married [:D]

Heheheh oh, I can get men to 'play with me' just fine. But getting them to push cardboard around, that's not so easy.

Sadly I live in a small rural Canadian town. That means war gaming? what's war gaming.

I do have a local hobby store though, and once a month at the club meeting I get to talk about models with about 20 men.
It's fun, listening to all the 'wife complaints'. I just get to laugh, I am the wife in my case. Well, that's the hope. "Dear, buy me this tiger tank, I'll make it worth your while."

I understand, lived a similar situation for the past 20 years. If none of those 20 men can let themselves be educated by a smart women, then they are not worth it MrsWargamer! [;)]

Oh, I lived in Motreal when I was young!

Why so adamant and down about the possibilty of you finding a man?
Surely you've had prior relationships..also if I presume you are say between 45 and 55..lots of single men around that age.

I really can't see you having to much of a problem finding a man if you frequent some conventions or wargaming clubs. I imagine some single men there are single cos of wargaming!! You'd seem heaven sent..a lady wargamer..who love a night in wargaming after a meal..etc etc.

Ahh if it was that simple. And dang it, I'm 55, everyone thinks I'm 35.

And in addition to knowing such important things like not rolling 4 then 6 when attacking Warsaw, and being able to tell the difference between early Tiger 1 running gear and late Tiger 1 running gear.
And the value of good surgical tweezers with stacks of half-inch counters, and that Plano makes proper ASL storage containers.

Nothing seems to be working.

And the biggest perk of all, I've only had one previous partner in my entire life. I mean, I'm almost.....ok I'm not really new any more :)

But dang it, what are the chances of you getting a wife that can say "dear, I told you not to buy that expansion so close to Christmas"
What's the chances of you hearing your wife say "Come on, I'll let you win this time"

I don't really have time to play them. The learning curve is so dauntingly steep. But I couldn't resist purchasing the CMANO Chains of War and Shifting Sands expansions. The topics are so compelling!
