Isn't 5 the limit? And I believe "maybe" it does count

It's the number squadrons not the number of planes. And 5 is the maximum number of squadrons a CV can have to maintain operations....GP

Yes they do. I think when other carriers are damaged the orphaned aircraft might be able to land on another carrier and exceed the five unit/fragment limit (up to carrier capacity + 15%) but nothing would be able to take off until the number of units/fragments is reduced to five or less and number of aircraft drops below 115% of designed capacity.

And double the capacity is the limit for transport of aircraft only.
