and again in windows 10 edge

Image

windows 10

Microsoft Edge 40.15063.0.0

Microsoft EdgeHTML 15.15063

all cache and cookies cleared and fully 100% clean, so not logged in, guest visitor account permissions used only to view the tech support pages

me advice is, clear your cache and cookies, and or use a better browser

8.1 default IE 11 (11.0.9600.18739)

Same thing happens on my Kindle Fire 'Silk' browser.

if your not signed in and you can see it, then that's all you can do anyway, read, you can't post, only look

if a given browser doesn't work, use another

You are missing the point... I'm not trying to post just open a topic....ie 'help from Scotland'.

I've actually resigned myself that only the ECW tech forum doesn't work without being signed in.... Just giving you info since you're trying to help.

Internet Explorer 11, Firefox and Silk all give error message.(asp500.100)

ok thanks and sorry i misunderstood, will ask again, but for me i'd use a supported browser still, as i'd guess something is wrong in them,

if you clear the cache and cookies with Internet Explorer, it works, then again i have a later version

the more info the better, so hopefully now the web team will look and see a common point and find or suggest a solution, the board is old, and needs to be moved onto a more modern database like slitherine is on, then it would support more, but that's for another day

I doubt it is the browser, because it works for all the other matrix tech support forums except this one. Besides, at one point this was fixed, then somehow went back.[&:]

some browser caches work differently, as once cleared it works fine for me, on the ones tested, if it doesn't on other browser, then for me it's a browser issue, but forum staff have been told, and are working on it, just what they can do if it works for them also on the software they use is another thing, they can't and won't i'd guess test all the different types, as there's to many and not enough users who would benefit from it, i'm sorry to say, it's a small % only, so a large % it works for

I get the exact same issue using up to date Chrome or Firefox (which I presume are 'supported'), and also Vivaldi. All produce a 'ASP 500.100 Error'. Clearing the cache makes no difference. As does attempting to view from a different PC.

The only way to see the posts is to login, after which they appear fine. But I don't necessarily want to be forced to login every time I come here.

i finally manged to replicate what your seeing, it's not the tech post forum which can't be viewed, it's posts in side the tech forum, my bad, just got the same error today, after clearing everything and trying in both browsers i use

for me it's the
ie 'help from Scotland'.
bit which i wasn't reading right, and as such, couldn't get it to work the same as you all saw, now i can, so hopefully a more permanent solution can be found, which will work for everyone

sorry my bad, i'll blame me for not reading it correctly [:(]

hopefully will be sorted soon, as it maybe a permissions issue on those posts as well, not just the forum etc. not sure as don't have that sort of access or ability so just guessing, but posted all the same

i'd give up on it then, as it's an old board and in the end a newer board will be done one day, and then will work perfectly like slitherine.com and now also ageod.com does.

I guess you may be right - however this would be a very poor outcome... [X(]

[ It strikes me that this attitude may be endemic on this Website ( over the years I have posted here ) and if those who deal with the forum members directly are so "minded", I am not really surprised... [:-] ]

I note no correction to the "Logged" in requirement for Tech forum questions ( as "predicted" by Zakblood ) to date.

Bad show Matrix...

I got the same error yesterday during member log-in. My user name was also messed up. Best way was to reset passwords for member and forums. And keep fingers crossed.

I have no problems at all with viewing Tech Forum posts IF I am logged in.

But, I still cannot if NOT logged in...
