Disappearing TF in '1000 Mile War' scenario

Hi Tech Support

I have had up to 3 TF disappear in quick succession and seemingly become trapped in an unplayable half hex in the above scenario.

For the moment it looks as though we've found a play around the glitch but obviously it would be good to know why it happened and how it can be avoided.

I have had the same problem in "Downfall"

It seems the off map area (the scenario map is a portion of the full map) is legitimate for TF movement into but (reasonably) not legitimate to move back onto the playing area.

Lost 4 CV & an Amphib TF with 3 Marine Divs!!!

Proves the world is flat and you can sail off the edge[8D]

I think it said in the manual that in the smaller scenarios a ship can leave to go to a larger shipyard for repair and I presume the "stuck at the map edge" phenomenon is just a holding position while the AI counts down the transit and repair time before returning it to the game. Most of the scenarios with partial maps do not run long enough for a ship to return from repair. Somewhere along the line, fleeing TFs end up heading for the bright lights of home and never coming back to fight! Mutiny!

No, your undamaged ships leave the map and never (I waited 10 months) return.

What small-map scenario goes over 10 months? Downfall?
