Finally caught up to the game. (again) Well done all you readers for hanging in there without so much as a whiff of a graphic to help you picture what is happening.

I have time for a quick shot of India. Multan to be precise. The Brits and Indians are on the march. Much to slowly for Todd’s liking. He is also most put out by the ability of my air strikes to slow his march down to a virtual halt at time. Not sure why this is happening but it is what he tells me. The situation is precarious. I have no idea a present what the Allies will do. Surround Multan. Go for a frontal assault across the river. Bypass and look to create havoc in the thinly held interior.

I’m inclined to think that a foray, in force, into the interior is on the cards. Plenty of armour in the Allied stacks. If this is the Allied plan I’m hoping that supply issues and continual bombing will weaken the assault where ever it eventuates.

The must also, surely, be a co-ordinated bombing attack heading towards Multan. When it happens the Allied bombers will pulverize the place and then things will become interesting once my fighters cover has to evacuate.

Peace

Post by SierraJuliet »

Caught up on the AAR and then RL crept in an I've fallen behind again.

One month further down the track and we have reached 27 October 1943.

A truly momentous date for the Empire of Japan for on this date all Allied combatant forces have been stood down as FDR, Churchill and Stalin broker a peace accord with Japan.

In a final throw of the dice the British attack at Multan falters and stalls whilst outside of Jodphur the great Allied assault falls apart from chronic supply issues. Supply problems abound for the Soviet forces cut off by the Japanese forces encamped on the railroad. A large Soviet force bent on smashing a way through is almost ready to attack but constant aerial bombardment has caused them to be in no position to force the breakout.

The USN is licking wounds and not yet ready to come out to play with 3 big carriers still in dock undergoing repairs.

Final score is Japan 48 406 to Allies 11 380.

Todd has done a sterling job of keeping himself in the fray for so long. A dogged opponent and one not prepared to let go until all hope of a timely come back has been lost. Salutations Todd. A great game and one that I will cherish for the simple joy of pushing the combined Allies to the peace table.
