Almost done with Laptop installation...

Post by Rusty1961 »

The map. My only problem is the map gets goofy when I get to the edges, especially Burma and India.

I've followed the advice of my opponent- I trust he knows what he is doing- and have created a folder called "Old Art" and moved the old files to it and unzipped the new art into the current ART file.

Obviously something is up with the ART/map files. Everything else appears fine.

What could it be?

Thank you for any help

I just don't know what you mean by "gets goofy". Could you spell that out better?

Basically, the three pwhex files are "the map" as far as the computer is concerned, and the many art files are strictly for the human to look at. So obviously the (set of three) pwhex files being used must correspond to the art panels (files) being used, and must be the right ones for the scenario you are using. Some mismatch there is the most frequent issue that I believe I've seen on the forum, so you might look into that first.

Hello!

The map, at the edges of India/Burm and China becomes almost totally illegible. Lots of overlap and obliteration of hexes.

Considering that the India/Burma border is nowhere near the map edge looks like you are only getting 75%? of the map

Misnamed or missing map files.

I think you need to put all the files back into the ART folder and then unzip the new art into the ART file, overwriting the files. Most mods do not replace all of the art files in the ART folder.
