I guess I'm different in that I don't dream of the game, I dream of the husband, who just happens to like war games.

I have plenty of games, I have no one to play them against.

Yeah and you thought that was just a guy lament.

Yup. After 15+ years on the UV/WiTP/WiTP:AE franchise, I still have dreams about the game. [8D]

My first ever video game was Dead Space. I had to stop playing it before I went to bed or I had bad dreams. Also high blood pressure and a tendency to jump at unexpected noises. But it wore off and now I dream of winning a campaign in War In The East. That's just a daydream though - never gonna happen!

I used to dream I was still playing Skyrim if I played it before going to bed.

On Days when I am playing games I often dream of it on those nights. [>:] Also may have trouble falling asleep as my mind keeps going over the game.

Come to think about it, the term dream may be better described as Nightmare.

I dream of a Mechwarrior game. Either a grand strategy, or an MMO. There are some FPS out there, that were lame. There is one on kickstarter, that may pan out. Neither are matching what I have in my head. I even have the sides (for PvP), tech trees, and toon types & specs for the MMO. I started to draw out the outline until I found out how badly hosed the license is on that franchise. Too bad, too. I really think the MMO would have caught on.

I remember way back to when I was trying to learn Ageods' first civil war game. I was having problems grasping certain game mechanics like supply,CP and division and corp formation.
One night, in a dream, it all fell into place and I really had this "eureka" moment. The next day I played and had no trouble with it. It was a cool experience.

MechWarrior Online
And don't diss it. Gameplay is just fine, and I rate it over earlier MechWarrior games

For (nearly) exact BattleTech experience in video game form, best game of choice is MegaMek. You can get even closer board game feel by playing hot seat on sizable tablet. MekWars takes it to MMO with Inner Sphere at stake.

No computer replicas of BattleForce or Inner Sphere in Flames that I know of.
You know what they say, don't you? About how us MechWarriors are the modern knights, how warfare has become civilized now that we have to abide by conventions and rules of war. Don't believe it.

I started playing on a C64 and never, ever once, dreamt about games. Maybe I did and I forgot (as it happens with dreams) but nothing I'm aware of.

Not dissing anything [:)] It's just not what I have in mind. For an MMO, I have something in mind of a cross between DAoC & SWG (crafting, multiple empires, PvP etc.). For a Grand Strategy game I have something along the lines of WitP:AE. Pipe dream [:(]

At times I dream about playing games. Sometimes the games are real games, and sometimes they are games my imagination invented.

Not dreams so much as thinking about strategy for the next session before I finally nod off.

I've had nightmares every night going as far back as I can remember so say about age 5 or so..very rarely my dreams aren't nightmares..however when I was a lot younger I did dream about a game a couple of times.

I've read that most people dream in black and white but my dreams are full colour and I feel pain in them..
