New Napoleonic Wargame In Development

Post by Alan Sharif »

Another game to keep an eye out for. Difficult to tell how much development is still required, but I think quite a bit at present.

Might be interesting, dunno, because I'm not going to sign up for facebook to check out a game, and google doesn't know any other sites for it...

Yes, I noticed that. This made me think it could be someway from a finished game.

Looks interesting, and it's hex-based like the old War and Peace boardgame. Maybe there could be some adaptations from that?

A few years ago I helped playtest a computer version of AH War and Peace for Thomas Stevenson and Mark Mclaughlin. I think it was for Decision Games, but there wasn't much support for it and no AI so the project fizzled. Anyways, it might be nice to see another hex-based grand strategy Napoleonic game. Commander Napoleon At War was interesting and had some potential, but like so many games these days its development only went so far. It remains to be seen how this new game will do. Let's hope for the best?

The choice is:

1. Sign in to your Facebook account
2. Sign up with Facebook
3. None of the above and view the page anyhow

You need to look closely as option 3 is designed to be hard to see

Yeah, and when you do this a Facebook login screen remains open, covering up half the page--too irritating to deal with. Not sure why it would be difficult for someone with the chops to design a computer wargame to throw up a simple blog instead of forcing people to rely on facebook.
