Origins 2017! 14-18 June / Columbus OH

The new Cold War turned hot wargame from On Target Simulations, now expanded with the Player's Edition! Choose the NATO or Soviet forces in one of many scenarios or two linked campaigns. No effort was spared to model modern warfare realistically, including armor, infantry, helicopters, air support, artillery, electronic warfare, chemical and nuclear weapons. An innovative new asynchronous turn order means that OODA loops and various effects on C3 are accurately modeled as never before.

Thanks to Brant and his Grogheads crew, we have imagery of the Flashpoint Campaigns: Red Storm based Command Post Wargaming exercises at Origins '17.

Here, the staff is deliberating over a large scale paper version of the Red Storm 4 (Lauterbach) map, with paper chits to track and plan maneuvers the "Cold War" way. Note that the command post got pretty crowed!

At Origins '17, Cap'n Darwin trying to stare down the Red Storm AI commanding the Soviet forces in the command exercise. Not sure this is effective.
Will the Command Post staff come up with a plan to halt the Soviets?

All three Red Storm sessions went very well. The fourth game with a modern Ukraine theme with blocks also went well. So much fun and over far too fast every year. Great friends, great games and great memories. Now we start planning for next year! The counter is running.
