Allies won the initiative and hammered northern Germany with air raids. 3bp lost in all, some planes on both sides.

Italy takes the first air action of the game, Japan naval, Germany land.

Italian planes find in the West Med.

CW cp is destroyed. But there are many more at Gibraltar.

The remaining CW NAV aborts.

Italian bombers launch a ground strike against Rokossovsky's artillery. Air combat ensues. A lone bomber clears, both misses both targets.

Air combat above an attack on Rokossovsky's HQ goes well for the Germans.

But for Rommel's attack across the Volga near Saratov it is a disaster.

A partisan uprising in Brest has serious consequences. 3 saved oils are destroyed, and two disorganised Italian submarines!

3 Oil and two Italian subs destroyed, what a haul for the French Partisans! In my humble opinion, von Leeb should have been in the hex between St-Malo and Brest, or even Brest, to prevent such a disaster. Also, Brest seems to be a strange, read vulnerable, place for the Germans to store oil.

An error to rail the Italian Infantry Division that was garrisoning it out to Dnepropetrovsk!

Although the weather there is very nice at this time of year.

Good point about the oil dump, a decision earlier in the war that no longer seems appropriate.

INTERCEPTED COMMUNIQUE FROM SHAEF HQ ALLIED #3 JUL/AUG 43

Ok coming back to you. First off more strat bombing of Lille and Metz. Rolled high on both this time. Both lost a bp. You lost a fighter near Metz. CW took a land and moved east in the desert. Attacking the OOS territorial. Rolled a 12 on a Plus 11 attack killing the terr. And the Allies once again invade Europe. British marines storm ashore taking Rotterdam with shore bombardment and air support. Germans also flew air support. But I rolled a 19!! In Russia the was an air battle with Russia doing a ground strike. The air battle was just a clear and no casualties. Your AA fired but rolled low. My bomber flipped a corp and a div. Sorry no scrrenshots, this computer wont take them and my son was using my laptop. . Things getting interesting !! Enjoy.

Italy naval, Japan and Germany combined.

Italian subs find in North Atlantic. A Liberator bomber from the east coast of USA reacts to the 2 box but isn't included in R1, 4&6.

Both attacking subs are aborted, despite the lack of naval escort.

! US cp and 1 CW cp destroyed, 3 aborted (2 CW, 1 US).

Round 2 sees both sides find 1&1, but the Liberator gets an air combat.

But no damage is inflicted.
