Look at the detail tab where you see the WEIGHT and CARRY of the different subformations. Post a screenshot if it is not evident. Probably the ones that move at 'foot' do not have enough transports.

almost solved !
with 100-250 trucks all Panzer divisions are "Tracked" and Panzergrenadier divisions are "motorized "
but :
all the SS Panzer Divisions are only motorized, perhaps needs more trucks, i just try with 250 ?

Hi,

Don't worry to much about this. The movement type mentioned for the whole unit is the PREDICTED slowest moving subformation in the unit on (i think) plains landscape type.

It can differ the moment you for example move into heavy forest and your unit is like half WHEELED and half TRACKED it will mean it will travel at WHEELED speed since in heavy forest that will be the slower one.

If you want a unit to be TRACKED always only assign halftracks to transport artillery and foot troops and NO trucks.

Always keep an eye on the UNIT DETAILS tab to check if you are not overassigning CARRY points compared to WEIGHT points of foot and arti that need transport.

Happy designing.

Best wishes,
Vic

Yes, now your tanks are actually "carrying" your trucks. :)

can I make a move type say for mechanized infantry corps and if so what do I need to do. I'm wanting to use some images from one of my HPS games that shows Soviet Infantry with a AIFV in the background, so I will not need to add a separate half track unit into the mix. So the unit makeup for this Corps would be infantry, tanks and armored car but move like Mechanized Corps

Hi Lion,

No the move type of a unit ALWAYS depends on the troops inside it.

Sorry there.
