German opponent wanted

Post by Hortlund »

So, Ive got room for another game. I can do at least one turn per day, usually more.

Ive come to play mostly as the soviets, so Im looking for a german opponent. I dont really mind playing against a veteran or a beginner, just as long as you stay in the game until its done, if you know what I mean.

No house rules. Random weather, normal blizzard, no +1. I think that balances the game best to be honest. I would like the +1 Soviet attack of cource, but Id understand if a german player would like to avoid it.

I am an somewhat experienced player, but only against the computer. I have never played pbem. So I guess that makes me a beginner overall. I would be willing to try if you like. I can do 1 turn a day, and will complete the game win or lose.

I've been playing the game extensively since the beginning but been out of it for 2 years or so and trying to catch up to all the changes.

Will need to do a bit of testing but if you can wait a couple of days I'd be happy to play.

1 house rule though, no para drops farther than 3 hexes from the front line.
I also prefer a server game.
This will be my only game so can do 1 or more turns a day.

BTW, which scenario do you have in mind?

Nice!
If I read the manual correctly (its been a long time), you need to start the game and send me the file.
I also think that for a server game, you must create the game on the server and make it a private challenge and provide me with the password?
If not, let me know what to do [:)]

Bitter end is fine.

Do I understand correctly that the +1 attack goes away after the first winter? If so, it seems the general consensus is that +1 attack should be
coupled with mild winter.

Last thing, HQ lock support does not mean you cannot manually assign SU, correct?

Sure you don't want to start with this beta patch: tm.asp?m=4233318
Seems it fixes a lot of stuff that could be annoying for the Russian player.

Game is up, no password, just jump in.

Locked HQ, random weather, mild blizzard, sov +1

Locked HQ support just means the AI will not shuffle support units around between HQs. When you put them there, they stay there until you say otherwise

Sure you want to stay on 1.9?
1.10 seems inviting with all the fixes...
