RE: WitW_Gui_a_la_mapmod - MOD [WIP]

Chemkid, as usual you are a genius. I've heard the WITW map isn't moddable a la Jason's amazing WITE map, which is a shame - but I've been hoping someone might mod the bland WITW UI. Matrix should send you a commission - your mod has convinced me to pick up WITW for the holiday sale.

Also, love your WITP:AE map mods - can't play without it! [8D]

Lest I sound greedy and ungrateful [;)] -- Chemkid, do you intend to mod the rest of the UI as well a la Jison (the F1 F2 etc. menus)?

Actually IMO it is far more moddable but doing so is very different. Having spent most of my Xmas spare time working on the map for WitE2 I've realised how fantastic the system is but it takes effort to learn how it fits together. For WitE2 I'm trying to make the system more logical so modders might be tempted. After all that's how I started.

Looking great, chemkid -- i'll certainly use this, and am sure whatever design decisions you do make will be the right ones!

yep, i intend to mod the rest of the gui, too. already finished the first(old) set of buttons,
but since they don't match with their old WitE placements i have to tweak a little more...

stay tuned... [;)]

(as you can see, there are a whole bunch of fresh symbols to do and i'm not sure if mixing jison's WitE icons with WitW icons looks cool - i rather take 'all' of WitW symbols/icons and just put them on more SOLID feet/buttons...)

Any news, or it's just finished?

There is no such thing as a historically accurate strategy game. Every game stops being historically accurate from the very first move player do. First unit that moves ahistorically, first battle with non-historical results, mean we ride in unknown.

OK. I'm using it. I hope you will find inspiration for it some day.
