Does one detect a good result for AIK per chance?

Silly Warspite, is it not obvious, Orm is happy that Liverpool qualified for CL-qualifiers. [;)]

22/5 Djurgårdens v AIK 0-1 Derby game much happiness for AIK...

Also...

21/5 Malmö v Norrkoping 1-2 pegged Malmö back a bit.

Two BIG games coming up for AIK next week...

29/5 AIK v Malmö
1/6 Norrkoping v AIK

10 games played so far in the Allsvenskan, Malmö are currently top 21 pts, Norrkoping are currently second 20 pts, Häcken third 17 pts, AIK fourth 17 pts and have a game in hand.

There is still a long way to go.

Good luck to Orm and AIK.

Best wishes,
Steve

Jose Mourinho - three more pieces of silverware and United back in the Champions League. What a loser

The big one of that haul is the UEFA League Cup and not for the silverware as much as the Champions League place.

Was disappointed with Ajax. Lot's of promise but very static up front. Manchester United provided a defensive conundrum that Ajax just couldn't fathom.

Will be interesting to see what Mourinho does in the summer. The Champions League place ups his bargaining position in the transfer market.

Steve

True, but a trophy is always a trophy. Winning helps to build confidence on the players and that is essential for building a winning team.

Absolutely. I am not discounting the value of the cup itself in giving a much needed boost to club. Winning breeds winners. Jose said after the match that winning the cup and a Champions League place is better than finishing 4th in the Premier League and a Champions League place.

Steve

IMO, it would be wiser to leave this season. He won the FA Cup.
Maybe he feels that he still has something to prove...

You may be right although equally - as with Chelsea this year - I don't think the distraction of Champions League football can be underestimated. If he gets a few decent signings in place and keeps Sanchez, then the title may yet be within their grasp. That, combined with our relegation - apparently Rose and Walker are possibly to do the offski in the summer - is clearly the most likely outcome for next season.

Not happy at all. [:@] Especially since I thought the goal should have been disallowed and a free kick for AIK. Even the scoring player thought so.

Although, truth to be told, I have become a grumpy oldster, so I do not expect anything good to happen to my team.
