Hello,
Here is a new scenario wich I made some times ago. I wanted to make a scenario with Polish. But a serious bug makes crash the game when we use the nation Poland (missing transports for Polish units). Recently I had the idea to use another nation (Czechoslovakia) instead of Poland while keeping the Polish units. This scenario is an adaptation of a tutoriel of the game "Operation Barbarossa: The Struggle for Russia".
With the patch 1.08 to come we could drive improvements:
- Make the Polish nation playable
- Test the new unit "Panzerkampfwagen I Ausf B" which could replace the Panzer38(t)(1st Light)
The briefing :

RE: Kutno
Hi terminator,
All units before summer 1941 are also welcome. Polish, Norwegian, Belgian, Dutch, French and British from 1940. There could also be what-if scenarios what happens if the Baltic States do not let Stalin in. They would not have any German assistance - Germany was busy on other fronts - but they can do some fight on their own. The Finnish in 1939 can also show the Soviets what a winter war really means.
Historically Czechoslovakia was taken without a fight so the Operation Barbarossa scenario just shows how to move the units - but there can be some alternate history scenarios.

The art of war is simple and esay to understand but fighting a war is hard.

Hi folks,
the Dutch will get the Fokker D.XXI with 1.08, maybe more stuff for Western minors will arrive [;)]
As to the play Poland, there should be no problem implemeting them into a scenario, they just don't have much equipement as of yet.

Hi Ronald,
It seems that the Editor is improved with a Script Editor.
The represented scenario looks like in "Wintergewitter" a lot.

Hi terminator,
we added a launch button for the script editor so you do not have to seek it on your harddisk to create all content for a map.
The scenario is indeed "Wintergewitter". [:)]

RE: Kutno
Hi terminator,
don't think it will make it into 1.08 as its an older test of the scenario. It contains the OOB but i experimented with the victory condition, unlike in the OB version you would have to move certain units out of Stalingrad to a given area.
Its not finished though. If you are interested i can post it in the forum so you have it as a resource. Maybe we could even make this work for 1.08 ?

Hi Ronald,
I too had to make this scenario "Wintergewitter". I remember having had problems because of Stalingrad: the Russian units did not stop attacking Stalingrad.
Recently I played a similar scenario on Panzercorps (winterstorm). There was not the city of stalingrad, there was only the road leading there. It gave me an idea: by doing the same with the scenario "wintergewitter" it would allow to solve quite a lot of problems.
The map could limit itself to this sector :
In any case I would be interest to see your version.

Hi terminator,
the map in Operation Barbarossa worked quite well with Stalingrad on it so i am positive that it will work out in GaW, too.
But having another variant, yours is more historical because Paulus had to stay in the city by order, would not hurt anyone.

Hi Ronald,
I am going to make this map and I shall call this scenario "winterstorm". Much easier to make without the city of Stalingrad. Maybe another scenario with only the city of Stalingrad ?
With the patch 1.08 to come we could drive improvements in the scenario Kutno:
- Make the Polish nation playable
- Test the new German unit "Panzerkampfwagen I Ausf B" which could replace the Panzer38(t)(1st Light)
- Test the new Polish unit "Bofors 37mm"

RE: Kutno
Hi terminator,
agreed on your point (still Poland is playable already, is it not ?).
How should we coordinate this?
Either i add these things and document this here or we get 1.08 to you before the release so you can build the map you want it to be.

Hi Ronald,
Currently the nation Poland is not playable.
If you choose the nation Poland, you will have this bug (missing transports for Polish units):
tm.asp?m=4177242
I had the idea to use another nation (Czechoslovakia) instead of Poland while keeping the Polish units.
Response: as you want

Hi terminator,
ok, i meant its implented that you can play as Poland, but you refer to the fact that the implementation is buggy thus making no fun i guess.
So we could go on about this infinitly [:D]
Playable Poland will be fixed in 1.08.

Hi terminator,
there is a .rar (disguised as a zip) attached that includes Kutno with German translations.
I also renamed the scenario "Kutno 1939" (in the scenario list) as we will pass this city once more in early 1945.

Hi terminator,
you are welcome. 1.08 is very close to the point where i can hand it to you and Marechal so you can add new units etc. to your maps.
With some luck it will happen this week.
