Destroying errant torpedoes?

Post by c3k »

I've tried to find this...sorry if it's been asked before.

If my submarine launches 2 torpedoes at a target, and the first one hits, the second one (Mark 48) goes into search mode.

I'd rather not have a live torpedo hunting for a target...especially if it's in the direction I want the submarine to travel. It's poor form to torpedo yourself...

How can you self-destruct a torpedo?

Thanks!

you cant.

Only way is to go into editor mode and delete the weapon.

No worry. It was suggested many times before. I forgot if the torpedo sonar can be closed to make it a dud.

If it´s wire guided you can always send it in a safe direction away from your own sub.
You might even get lucky and find someone lurking in that direction[;)]
