OK, here is a question. In the second video when the Japanese tank is compared to the American tank, what kind of tank is the "American tank." Nothing that I can recognize.

It really looks vulnerable to a lucky shot, however, by 1944, why should they bother with MG fire, bazookas were likely issued in good numbers

Come to think of it, the irony of naming a light tank Stuart, and a heavier one Sherman. We already know who won the Civil War.

It was the British that "named" these tanks with Civil War Generals. USA designation was always letters only: M5, M4

Just back from Bovington....the Stuart looked quite robust and hardy compared to the Japanese tanks. Neither would even plug up the tracks on the big German tanks! They have a Tiger gallery with all main variants of Tiger. Tiger 2 is bigger and heavier than the M1A1. Bovington is an amazing museum.

M5 is a generation, if not two generations above the type95

Best tank for the Pacific would had been the M24 Chaffee

Type95 was quite when introduced and 2-3 years after (very mobile at least)...

Germans learned from the Kingtiger disaster:
Tiger Day 05.04.2014, Including Tiger 131

(Min14, see the Leo1 lighter and faster - and better sound too)

Marine tankers began to recognize that their armor piercing projectiles were passing clean through the lightly armored Japanese armored vehicles, sometimes leaving them in action, and so they switched to high explosive 75mm ammo to make their hits have more impact.
