75th anniversary Doolittle's Raid

18 Apr 1942. Doolittle led his small band of flyers to bomb Japan. Salute those very brave men![&o]

I actually got to meet Gen Doolittle, and shake his hand.

He was Grand Marshall of the Indianapolis 500 in the early 60's.
Our Cub Scout Troop were road guards, for the downtown parade.
His limo pulled up to a corner street and stopped, right where I was standing.
He shook my hand and patted me on the head.

I'm in my 60's now, and I still remember the event.[8D]

I honor him by having a Lithograph, signed by him, from the 50th anniversary.

It hangs where I see it every day.
