Poll: Sino-Japanese war

Post by lion_of_judah »

Been working on this with the help of Ernie who does the event programming and input and bombur giving input and would like too take a poll and see if there is an interest for this theater. I for one would love to see a Pacific GD1938 even though this will not come close to the awesome work Ernie and Bombur have done on GD1938.

A couple of events that will be in this new scenario will be the improve economy card and the Franco-Thai war of 1941 which will activate the Kingdom of Thailand and the Indochinese Union (French Indochina). There are a few more events that we are working on, but I'm hoping this will be something that people like.

Really, I don't do much, just alittle here and there, and a splash there. So far I have just modified an event from a previous scenario, to this one. This is more or less Lion of Judahs project, in case anyone was wondering. But I think he has an interesting idea here...

If Thailand is to be added, maybe the Burma theater should be added too.

I really like the Pacific campaign in GD1938 and any more exploration of this theater would be great.

I would be happy to help if I can.

Juda

Appreciate your effort to create a Pacific Theater scenario.
One small suggestions: Iwo Jima doesn’t rate 3 hexes, 1 hex is more accurate.

Otherwise, excellent.

Yeah, I agree and I'm willing to reduce it to two hexes otherwise if its just one hex, it looks like a big blob and there is no contour to it.

Yup, welcome to all mapmakers dilemma. Never enough detail, for the realism or function you want...

I hope as well. Work is coming along at a decent pace. Still on the economic card and working out the bugs in that. Next event that will be worked on once we are sure the economic card is working as it should is the Franco-Thai event which will activate in December 1940 and allow Kingdom of Thailand and the Indochinese Union to become active players and start out at war.

Still have a few sft to replace mainly level 3 and 4 image wise but that will be done once everything else has been finished.

I really was hoping for this to take off, but due to my lack of programming knowledge and other reasons I've decided to cancel this and move on. This theater of WW2 is sorely missing
