Axis Mid-East Loop

Post by sPzAbt653 »

I've made a Naval Loop that allows limited Axis Naval Movement between the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf. This movement is dependent on the Axis controlling Egypt [the Suez Canal] and Saudi Arabia.

The attached file contains the Loops needed. Copy and paste them into the existing Loop Script of your mod. They have been game tested to be bulletproof [;)] You'll have to add the text to the map yourself, see here if you don't know how:
tm.asp?m=4203310
And if you need to know how to do the hex shading, see posts 5 & 6 below.

Thanks sPzA, I think this is a needed loop. I did this but I am not sure it worked or if
I did it right. I did a copy and paste of your word doc into the loop word doc and I see it there.
I updated both groups of scripts ( loop was the only one with an *) and labeled the hexes on the map.
But, the map hexes did not hi-lite, like the other loop hexes, do I need to change the map hex
info or something? How do I know if it worked? The only way I can think to test it is to play a game
to the point where I can try it.
Thanks, Bruce

How do I know if it worked?
It should work well, I tested it back and forth several times with no issues [;)]
the map hexes did not hi-lite
Ok, it's easy enough to do. Go back to the editor and make sure you have both of the red circled boxes selected.

Now scroll to the Red Sea and Right Click on one of the existing loop hexes [red circled]. That will select the correct hex highlight [as seen in the right side column]. Now Left Click in the target hex [215,132 in the Red Sea] to place it. The hex locations that jive with the loops are in the screen shot in Post #1.

thanks, yes, I did that, made them number 4 like the other ones, and labeled them.
Playing a new game now but it will be a while till I get to test it.
