This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

(possible wrong) data of device #46 and #48

Post by Mario_Fr »

I recently had a short look at the editor and found out that the german 37mm Cannon BK3.7 (#48) right now seems to be an regular air to air cannon (anti-air 75), intended to shoot at other planes, while it has only a penetration value of 6.

But these were iussued with special tungsten core shots and could penetrate up to 140mm at vertical from 100m. They were intended to be used as anti-tank guns (Both on the Ju 87G and the Hs 129)

The same applies to the 30mm Cannon MK103 (#46). Used in the Hs 129 to bust tanks, so penetration should be somewhat higher then 4 what we have right now (I`ve found 75-90mm against vertical).

For some reason I can`t post links but on wikipedia are some nice information and pictures of both weapons.

Cheers

AFAIR penetration of aircraft guns is only used vs air targets, Anti-soft/-armor is used vs ground targets

Anti-armor of the 37mm BK 37 is also only 6. The same with the MK 103. Should be way higher.

Is there a way to find out what value is used against ground targets (penetration or anti-armor)?
