Descent boardgame reviewed

Post by wodin »

Fantasy Flight Games Descent has been reviewed over on the blog. Though it's a boardgame you can for free download an app from Steam so you can play it solo.

Go see why so many love the game.

Nice Wodin, thanks!

I also own and play "Descent" with my girlfriend, great game for us. If you like D&D then you will like Descent i would think. We also like and play "Eldricht Horror" and "Mansions of Madness" [;)]

That was a really good review, very cool how he painted the minis. I have Imperial Assault (same game system set in Star Wars) and I've thought about painting them, but worried I'll screw it up.

Hey Thanks a bunch wodin for this. Just downloaded it on Steam and will take a look at it in the morrow. They even have some purchasable DLC for it.

May I suggest one thread for new announcements for your nice site?

Good shout - would be good to get the book reviews in the book thread too so these are lost in the pages of time.

Any particular reason?

With one thread people would never really know when I've added anything new. It would just become a thread that people will forget to check and then maybe miss something that would appeal to them. That's why I haven't done it that way.

Also people are more likely to see something that catches their eye this way..

It's not as if I'm filling the forum up with threads. If I was then I'd fully understand. Plus we review a lot of Matrix new releases so I imagine they wont mind do much me posting new article announcements here.

If Matrix want me too though then I will happily oblige.

Also if the general consensus is they would prefer just one AWNT thread then again it wouldn't be a problem:)

wodin I think you've taken it the wrong way. It has nothing to do with taking up threads and everything to do with having a great thread that will remain current, and that people will know what to go to for.

I can't speak for Orm but I see it as a positive suggestion reflecting what you are trying to do.

Up to you of course and no one is going to die in a ditch over it, but seemed like a nice idea.

I was just being selfish. It is easier for me to go back then and look at the history.

One thread to rule us all, One thread to find it all,
One thread to bring us all and in greatness awe us.
In the wargamers needful things where the reviews are.

No I didn't! Thanks for the info. Guess I will have to take a second look at it and make a decision on whether I really want to play it and spend the money on the Board Game.
