HI again,

This looks good and the reviews on the geek a very positive. I'd enjoy hearing any opinions.

I usually love his games (and his reviews of other people's games are scathingly hilarious), but the side scroller concept doesn't fly for me. Perhaps I saw too many side scrolling arcade games in the early 80's to even give it an honest try.

It´s curious but I have a similar dilemma tomorrow (pay-day)...

It´s either "Elusive Victory", "Bomber Command", "Enemy Coast Ahead: The Dambuster Raid" or "Wing Leader". All are from GMT Games, but only two are really solo frendly (Enemy Coast and Wing Leader). That dosent mean you can´t play the rest solo, actualy Bomber Command has some adaptive solo rules for download somewhere. "Enemy Coast" seems to have real good reviews as to solo play, very imersive but a bit liniear and also a new "Enemy Coast Ahead: Doolittle Raid" is on P500 and due mid this year. "Red Storm" is also on P500 this year!

Air Warfare Wargames GMT

So, the dilemma, Elusive or Wing Leader for me [8|]

Here´s a intro and gameplay for Elusive Victory by Jeremy Antley. So you get an idea what it´s all about. I love that map![;)]

I did order 'Wing Leader'... Reviews are good. Side scroll looks intriguing to me; something different. A nice mix of planes and scenarios plus a campaign coming....

Thanks for posting about 'Enemy Coast Ahead'

I didn't know about it; looks like a nicely detailed game.

I really enjoyed this sessions report for 'Enemy Coast Ahead'... seemed to have it all; planes lost over the channel, bombs missing targets, bombs hitting targets but bomber unable to pull away and hitting a cliff. Unexpected searchlights, Planes not returning home.

I've Enemy Coast Ahead: The Dambusters Raid and I can vouch for it, specially if you like games that provide good narrative. The art is top notch.
Can't wait for the Enemy Coast Ahead: The Doolittle Raid.
