the game won`t launch

After the first start I get this message: SDL Failed (2) Failed to use audio system. Can you help?

You could try upgrading your audio drivers, they are a bit old and there are newer ones available. Also try closing everything you may have running in the background.

The game uses ogg files for audio, but you don't seem to have any third party ogg codec installed that could conflict with the one provided by the game, so that shouldn't be an issue.

You can do this by running msconfig and disabling all non-windows start-up programs and services.
Then once you have disabled all non-Microsoft services, please run the game and see if the issue persists.
If it does not, please then reopen msconfig and reenable those services, one by one, until you find the program causing the problem.
