Eleven days ago carriers in the north sea began an operation to reopen the baltic shipping lanes to Gdansk, Poland by launching airstrikes against european union air and naval bases in northern Germany.
As expected they encountered heavy enemy fighter resistance along with land based cruise and ballistic missiles. what was not expected was that some of the cruise missiles were armed with nuclear warheads. The majority of the fleet survived but lost several escorts and aircraft in the battle.
Political and civilian opinion is mixed. opinions range from disengaging completely from the current conflict to launching a full nuclear counterattack with global strike command and united kingdom ballistic missile submarines.
Global Strike Command is at DEFCON 2 and United Kingdom ballistic missile submarines have received warning orders to retarget their missiles on the European Union.
After several heated discussions the president along with the prime ministers of the United Kingdom and Norway have agreed that the European Union nuclear forces must be completely neutralized using conventional forces.
Its been awhile but this is the second scenario in my Chaudron, 2020 series. US/UK air strikes on the EU (French) nuclear forces.
Both sides have a good amount of force randomization.
Look forward comments and suggestions.
