Naval Support in port list

Post by MakeeLearn »

Should Naval Support always be listed in the port screen?

I have a port where it is not listed yet there is 96 Naval Support present at the base.

I saw in the Whatsnew.pdf that there had been some problems with Naval Support. the port in question has no Naval Support listed, the pic is show where it should be.

what am I over looking?

I think the base screen is updated at the beginning of the turn so anything unloaded that turn does not show up until the next turn. Not sure about this though, just the rationale I have for seeing this.

Its been there for over a month. and the slow unloading makes me think that the support is not be used.

Is the unit with the NS in combat mode?

The problem I pointed out (with the help of others) is if the port has a base rating of (0) and is expanded to larger levels, the program ignores any naval support at the base. Bases that have a (1) or higher starting level do show any naval support and use the support for activities at the base..

I believe that this is only true if you are using the latest update.

Can we assume that the DBB "Shore Party" squads will work on those level 0 parts?

I am using the official patch, not the Beta, so as far as I know I haven't seen this issue but am wondering the above for the sake of those who may be using both DBB and the Beta.

Doesn't make it right. I've noticed it in the last two betas. I have it now on Miri. Yet Brunei and Beaufort, which have no units in them both show NS from the Miri hex. Also I'm not sure they are working in Miri. Should this be reported on the Tech page?
