Turn 72
Berlin
In the process of Recapturing Berlin destroyed a French infantry. Encircled another French and Portuguese infantry at Leipzig, finally things are going my way, however I have a big fat NM "0" which means I'm all done unless my opponent refuses my surrender after the end of this turn, if he does accept surrender my non-German units on German soil will be repatriated to the production queue, thus out of this region. Did harassing attacks on the American infantry southwest of Prague while waiting for other units to get in place to launch a sustained assault. Still have hope the offensive will close the gap to the east of Hannover creating another pocket.

Turn 72
Stettin
Yellow sea hex is where a USA pre-dreadnaught fleet got sunk with admiral.. Stettin received an armored train soon another will also deploy next turn.. The lower left yellow circle was where another French fighter squadron got shot down.. Koenigsberg is unloading more freshly arrived supplies to boost the German economy.. My airforce is getting badly depleted from the constant attacking and losses from interdiction.. It was good turn for CP. This is what can happen when an Entente player becomes to dependent on air power, even his tanks are in danger of being eliminated they pop big time when isolated..

Turn 72
Vienna-Zagreb
AH's armored car ended up disembarking into Venice for a capture, this move cause the nearby Italian infantry to withdraw to protect Trieste, which Turkey promptly attacked with an armored train and extend the Zagreb front... Harassing enemy units up and down the line of this front, if anything, to buy time for more units to arrive.

Turn 72
Suez
Came close sinking an entire English armored cruiser fleet and attacked the Italian pre-dreadnaught no losses there. Spotted English supply convoy at Suez port. Placed a sub as reception committee for this convoy next turn.. My Turk class I fighter scored a hit on the English infantry.. Little else to report here..

Medina
Will be on the attack here soon. It's curious that the rebels are breaking to the eastern desert...[&:] Should make the capture of Medina all that much easier...[:)]

Germany Surrenders
Just when my side was starting to look promising... [:(] Likely my opponent saw that too, thus decided to accept the surrender.. Ahwww! Dratts! [:)]

Turn 73
Prague
Curious: French and Portuguese infantry were trapped behind enemy lines at half supply, yet on the next turn somehow they were liberated? Not sure if they were disbanded, went back to the production queue, or what?
Sent a Bulgarian cav unit to attack English fighters, maybe with some luck capture Nuremberg later. For the moment I have the dominate army in this sector, so pressed attacks hoping to regain momentum and scatter his airforce.. Check out the lower left panel for NM effects as a result of Germany's surrender..

Turn 73
Vienna-Zagreb
Up and down this front conducted commando attacks to keep the enemy off-balance and extend my line behind Zagreb, that Turk armored train is hard to crack for the Italian infantry (half supply) to do thanks to the AH armored Car moving northeast, which is only become cannon fodder on his turn.. Balloon bombed an English class III fighter, both took losses. The one thing that happened by capturing Venice: Was that Italy could not deploy there slowing reinforcements getting to the front, plus robbing Italy of some PP..

Turn 73
Adriatic
Bombarded Taranto while rotating subs for both repair at Cattaro and into position at the Adriatic choke point. Bulgaria just deployed a fresh infantry at Sofia while the Turk ac moves north.

Turn 73
Suez
AH wolf-pack corralled the English convoy putting it out of it's misery (small victory)..! Turks are going on the offensive, but do not expect to achieve too much success. It's a forgone conclusion to me that the English are going to be coming after my guys pretty soon now that Germany is out of the way, rather crowd them, than them crowd me. Let's see how this works out.[8|]

Argentum vs operating 80 turns so far

Post by operating »

Turn 73
Medina
The combination of an air-strike and AT assault did a number on the rebel infantry in Medina. It's tough going for the garrisons getting over the sand dunes, they'll be supporting the AT soon enough. 2 of the rebels are heading way out in the desert, which I thought was rather odd..?[&:]

Turn 74
Prague-Vienna
Yes, the Entente airforce did scatter some, but now my Bulgarian cav is isolated, likely toast soon. Nuremberg tuned into a RR stop for incoming infantry which is many classes above mine. Ah had to cash in it's labs to stay solvent, thus will never catch up with the more powerful Entente units. Can also see (from AC) that English class II tanks are heading for this front, they'll make mincemeat out of my troops.. Harrying USA and Italians with artillery and light troops... The wooded hexes around Prague should make it difficult for tanks to maneuver.. And Oh Yeah! Take a look at Leipzig, somehow my opponent was able to get the marooned French and Portuguese infantry out of the neighborhood, my thought here that they would have stayed at half supply and non-disbandable (I could be wrong on this).[8|]

Extended the southern front with fortified positions while again harrying Italian troops (weakened mostly from winter movement and combat). The objective here is to take back Zagreb, this will enable my remaining Adriatic ports to remain open to repair and supply AH fleets..

Managed to slip this Turk transport through enemy waters to an unprotected Tripoli. It would be a coup should it capture this capital city, we'll find out if Argentum is paying attention to the mini-map...[8D]

Turn 74
Suez
I'd like to capture even just one Suez Canal hex (blocks convoys and navy) before the enemy has a chance to reinforce this region. The odds of accomplishing this are small, but at least I'll know and he'll know I tried... Ismalia got attacked. Did a lot of damage to the Italian pre-dreadnaught, it's likely to steam to port..

Turn 74
Medina
The armored train (AT) is working out quite well against the hapless rebels, expect to recapture Medina next turn. The rebel cav and AC are still way out there in the desert, I'm not even considering giving them chase (movement out there is only one hex per turn).

Turn 75
Vienna-Zagreb
Almost captured Zagreb maybe next turn (it's entrenchment value is a 16). Extending entrenched front line towards Trieste, commando raids still in effect. I'm a little surprised he had not retaken Venice. In CTGW the Italians are way stronger than in previous patches. At present they show 8 infantry, 1 artillery, and several aircraft some out of LOS.. Their PP was nearly tripled in the last patch, so when they DOW they are almost instantly a super power with more PP than AH and with advanced techs, equal to AH or better...
