Are many people still using this? I've just tried it out and really boosts immersion, excellent work. Unfortunately, I can't stop the logfiles for both sides being read out. I have tried entering my side manually and leaving it to auto, but it happens every time, I get the lot. Can anyone help?
yes its quite popular.... i used to have that problem... but now its fine.... im using version F.... i hear H is ok too... if its an issue.. you can clear the log window before starting....

Thanks for that. It started to work perfectly after I set compatibility for Windows XP SP3. It's really great to use, some amusing mis-pronunciations but otherwise great for immersion.

Just downloaded and started using Seahag today. I used Hazel from MS but bought Audrey UK from ATT, sounds smoother and not so digital.

Have made some changes to the speech file to be more militarily accurate.

Great addition to the game!!

A couple good lengthy sound files. You'll have to go on Youtube and search for them because I don't have permission to post links yet:

Aircraft Carrier Communications - Military Aviation Scanner Audio

Navy SSC - Military Aviation Scanner Audio. This one is especially good because it's several SSC missions so you don't always hear the same voices and there are various types of units being identified, military as well as commercial. Also at various times the other sound files pop in so it is a pretty close approximation of the ambient chatter you would hear over various comm circuits in a CIC.

To help others get the game to sound more realistic I think it would be a good idea for current and former military members to provide input to a list of modified word/phrases for SeaHag and pin it to this section. For instance a couple of the changes I made were:

Tu-95RT .... Tee You Ninety Five

I also added the English alphabet with their NATO phonetically spoken words:

A.... Alfa
B.... Bravo
C.... Charlie
D.... Delta

So now when SeaHag sees Tu-95RT Bear D it doesn't say "Too Nine Five Are Tee Bear Dee" it says "Tee You Ninety Five Bear Delta"

Among others there's a lot of weapons terms that need to be changed

I'm not too HTML savvy but does anyone know if you can pin something like Excel and members just add to it?

Well, as I couldn't install Graham,
I bought Cerevoice William for a British English Male Voice...
It's really good and weighty... I have Audrey too, and very soothing voice it is, but William adds depth and drama !

Nat, when I had that issue I had to do this:

In Windows Go to Change the date, time, or number format
Then
Format English (United Kingdom)
Short date: dd/MM/yyyy
Long date: dd MMMM yyyy
Short time: hh:mm tt
Long time: h:mm:ss tt
First day of week: Monday

Fixed it

I went in and deleted the config file for Seahag. The drawback though is if you delete the config file you lose all the changes you made to Seahag.

Hey, I don't know if this has been addressed before (so many pages in this thread ...) but when I'm adding ambient sounds, I can't save the setting and I have to redo all the settings each time. Ambient sounds work well but can't be saved :-( I tried to save before closing CMANO and after closing it but it has no effect. No idea what's wrong
I'm using SeaHag 1.0i and my Steam version of the game.
I really would like it to work because the app is brilliant and adding lots of sounds from Dangerous Waters make it absolutely gorgeous !
So I will really appreciate some help.
The error message I receive when clicking "save settings" is the following:
(and this happens only when I add new ambient sounds. If i keep the original sound files, the "save" works)

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Just noticed with Chains of war that the format of the logs files has changed slightly - will update Hag this weekend to work, and I'll fix up the date processing so it works for all.

P.S. if anyone (powers-that-be) fancies sending me a pro license key I can make that do some interesting things that would be re-sellable on an international basis......

Thank you Sluggy I did notice after this latest upgrade to Command that it had killed something to your SeaHag software as up until now it has been working perfectly for me but now does not read out the log file texts at all (Command stamp changes make no difference now) I did spend a long time on trying to fix it but no matter what I tried it certainly didn't work like it was supposed too so hopefully you can fix that as and when you have the time Sluggy and yes hopefully someone will send you that key as it is more than you deserve mate.
Very much appreciate your software that enhances a already World class piece of software called Command![&o]

Quick update - just testing now - all works OK - I've changed date processing to be a regular expression as well so will work better for the international users ( you can define your own date/time cuts ) for those with date processing issues.

The problem here is that the log entries are in local time and date format rather than a fixed UTC format - so I have made it work for all, those of you on 1.0h there were bugs fixed in 1.0i so you should really switch to the new 1.0j when I put it out tomorrow. Those using date formats like 1/05/2018 12:00:00 AM - will find that is the default - and I can help those that need different date processing formats on this page.

While I am in the code again - it has been a while - anyone want to get some new default expression in the table tell me in the next 24 hours and I'll add them in.

For those with large modified or complex speech or sound tables BACK_THEM_UP_NOW!! See page one for where they are held, the new date parameter is added to existing saved settings but the Microsoft libraries may force new settings folders for the executable.
