If you've not been there yet, I recommend the 'Be Our Guest' dining in the Beasts castle. The French onion soup is absolutely delicious.

Universal have made such an effort with the two Harry Potter attractions - and the Hogwart's Express that runs between the two parks - that I think Disney have had something of a wake-up call in the scenery dept. They've reacted and I love the new extension to Fantasyland with Belle's village - where they sell a really nice iced drink in a 'Gaston' mug. The Seven Dwarfs ride is sweet too [:)]

When you go say Hi to Mickey for me; tell him he was right about Pork Bellies and that I owe him one. Mickey Mouse plays the stock market... who knew?

Thanks for the advice mate.

Be our Guest is the hottest ticket in WDW. The guidebooks recommend...nay insist...that to have any shot at a dinner reservation, you must book 180 days in advance. Crazy! We've only recently decided / confirmed that we're going, so we're practically like vagabonds trying to get a reservation for March.

We are looking forward to the new Fantasyland extension. It was under renovation the last time we were there three or four years ago. Looks pretty slick.

I grew up in the city of Orange, CA-about 10 minutes from Disneyland. We went there regularly to entertain family coming from out of town. I must have been there a dozen times or more. Still enjoy it, but haven't been to Disneyland in 25 years.

What years did you grow up in Orange? I had a business for 10+ years on Tustin Ave., near Collins...[:)]

Here are some piccys of the castle

We booked this for the first day - day 1 is always Magic Kingdom! The ballroom is one of three rooms available for dining - the others being the Library and the West Wing...
