They probably used the same Indian outsourcing resources that my company uses. Sure you can get 100 guys for $10, but not one of them knows a single thing about the job. Yeah, I am annoyed and bitter [:D]

I was under the impression ships were built with the right measurements so they would stay afloat. That's why I found this to be so strange. To be fair the Navy did report that they have had a long existence and no major instances occurring.

Tell me about it!I've been married to an Indian for 41 years. You don't go to Indians for efficiency.[8|]

Give them time. Did you know that in the XIX century German products were synonymous of utter bad quality? [:)]

Same thing with Japanese and Chinese [recently] products. Eventually people learn.

Well, the Indians in the IT field know their stuff. I'd been working alongside Indians for the past eight years (my supervisor was an Indian). I couldn't hope for better, more knowledgeable, or competent co-workers. A really good work ethic, and affable and polite too.

Quite. And let's face it, all navies have had their embarrassing episodes - Honda Point (USN), HMS Victoria (RN), Taiho (IJN)...... end of the day people are people. I make a mistake at work, and a couple of boxes of paper clips too many are ordered - a navy officer mucks up and lives are lost and ships are sunk.....

In my younger years I was a welder on many a navy ship under construction at the Quincy Fore River Shipyard just south of Boston. It's inconceivable to me that navy engineers did not take into account weight distribution..

Putting in too much heavy gear topside has been a temptation aboard warships for centuries:

Civil war? What does that mean? Is there any foreign war? Isn't every war fought between men, between brothers?

if that is the reason for it to have tipped it would have to be an immense amount. Think, that being docked, it could not have been calmer waters.

What!! Where are they hiding the Indians who know things? Ive only ever encountered the IT ones that don't know their ass from a hole in the ground.
