Changing individual Hex Resource values

Post by Hairog »

I swear I've done this before. Example: Malkop oil field in USSR is 6 MMP Hex tile 59, Ploiesti's are 10 MMP but hex tile 59, the ones in the US are 10 MMP hex tile 57.

How do you change those MMP amounts in the hex tiles?

Hi Harry

If you go to Campaign -> Edit Country Data -> Edit Resource Data then you can change the value of individual resource types by country.

Thanks Bill. I can do that but I can't change individual hexes or make say every oil hex 15. Somehow it's been done in the past because the same hex type has different MMP values like the examples above from the same country on a couple of scenario maps.

So tile 59 is both 20 and 6 on one of my maps in the USSR and 10 in Romania and the US. I have another one that has two 6s in Russia and a 10 in Romania and 10 in the US. How do you set the individual MMPs for either a tile or a hex?

I've done it before in the earlier editors but can't remember how. Has it been changed.

Thanks again.

It's not changed, but that's the only way to change the MPP value of resources. Oil can be set this way to have different MPP values depending on which country it belongs to, hence Romania can be different to the USA and USSR.

But if you had more than one Romanian Oil Resource then all would provide the same amount of MPPs per strength point.

The only exception being that if a resource is not connected by rail to a Capital or Industrial Center then its maximum production will be less.

Hopefully that helps?

Well just did it again. Baku and Malkop are 20. Added a new oil field near Rostov. It's a and won't change. I ran a road and a RR to it...still a 6. Save it, playing it now and it's still a 6.

It might be best to send us the campaign via WeTransfer or Dropbox as I don't know how this could be happening.

Dropbox it is.

When you get it look at hex 228,88 near Rostov and then Malkop and the two near Baku.

Thanks
