there is a very negative side to this. To create the space used for this testing (and other expansions of their training range off NW Scotland) the MoD has unilaterally removed large areas from the local inshore fishing fleet leading to a serious threat to the livelihoods of a number of remote crofting/farming communities but especially off Applecross.
