Alt+S Not Switching Sides

Hi, all. I have a recently acquired copy of Command: Modern Air/Naval Operations, v1.11 SR6, build 870.1 running on Windows 7 Professional SP1, 64 bit. Nothing else running (that I know of) that would intercept keystrokes. Tested on a different machine, same behavior. When I start the Spratly Sprat scenario, with the scenario running, pressing Alt and the s key has no effect. When the scenario starts the first message is 'Switched side to NNN'. I also can't find the menu item to switch sides so I wonder what I'm doing wrong. Same for other scenarios I've tried, like Duelists. I can't figure out how to switch sides.

I suspect a bug between my ears. Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong or if this is a known issue?

Are you sure you are starting the scenario in Editor Mode?

Problem solved, thanks! I'm still feeling my way around the game so I hadn't even tried the editor mode yet.
