New units in Germany at War 1.08

Germany At War: Operation Barbarossa 1941 is an elegant turn-based design, inspired by classics such as Panzer General, but with more of a historical focus. You command the German forces through a branching historical campaign covering the entire 1941 campaign as well as part of the 1942 campaign. Dozens of scenarios stretch from the Soviet border all the way to Archangel and towards Astrakhan, the original military goals of Operation Barbarossa. Step into a wargame where your performance will rewrite history, through an addictive combination of compelling gameplay, realistic events and challenging battles.

New units in Germany at War 1.08

Post by Ronald Wendt »

Hi fellow warmongers,

so here is a first teaser of the new equipment/units that you will get with update 1.08. Please mind that its is just the first basic list and that 1.08 is still some way ahead.
There will be many more units as well as nations that get equipment. The list will be expanded & revealed over time.

Enjoy [8D]

There have been many new units introduced over the years but when I play the A-A Campaign, which is what I play, I never see most of them. Do they only appear in scenarios or scenarios the player creates?
Thanks.

You do not have them in the first scenarios but if you have enough resource points you can buy them.

Op Barbarossa is a good campaign for testing the new units because you have no limits for your army. AA is a little bit harder because of the limit for core units but you can buy some new units there.

Hi folks,

it can absolutely happen, that you have not seen all new units of the previous updates. This depends a lot on which campaigns or scenarios you are playing and which side you usually take.

Especially in the last update (GaW 1.07) there were many units that will appear in the major Soviet campaign that was already planned for last year.

So even if you couldn't find a certain units in the battles so far, you will in time.

I don't think that it's either of the above Italian fighters. Ronald's fighter has a nose which is pretty flat compared to the Italian models which have more slope. However, I have no idea what fighter Ronald is showing.

Hi Ronald,
This new fella looks like a Panzerkampfwagen I Ausf B a lot.

Nice the images of units WIP. You could put this images of units WIP in an entitled folder "Bonus Materials" in the next update ?

Thanks

Hi terminator,

glad you like this stuff, i will add some more. And of course we could do some "Bonus Materials" just did not think about something like it. We will look into our folders if there is something else we can add for such a folder in 1.08. Thanks for the idea.

Italian L6/40 tank.

The Romanians showed quite good results in Moldova and Odessa; now it is time for the Italian allies to start fighting.
