Flashpoint Campaigns: Red Storm 2.0.11 Update

The new Cold War turned hot wargame from On Target Simulations, now expanded with the Player's Edition! Choose the NATO or Soviet forces in one of many scenarios or two linked campaigns. No effort was spared to model modern warfare realistically, including armor, infantry, helicopters, air support, artillery, electronic warfare, chemical and nuclear weapons. An innovative new asynchronous turn order means that OODA loops and various effects on C3 are accurately modeled as never before.

Tom, now that the game is stable Steve (MR) is looking at working the scenarios. Once we get an ETA we'll let folks know.

Hi Cdcool

There was a bug that meant you couldn't turn AI control of the arty off, I believe it should be fixed in 2.0.11...

I missed adding in info about the radio intercept icon, so there are a few fixes and tweaks that may have missed the list. We did a lot of work on this update. In some areas several times.[:D]

Pretty much as it always did. Not sure what error you were referring to earlier. The AI's FSCC gets a set of sighted targets, HQ intercepts and Radar intercepts like you do and it then selects what assets to apply where. The was an issue with player side FSCC toggle not working right, but that should be fixed.

Let me know what other issues you have or heard. [8D]

Thanks!, yep the toggle wasn't working properly. If I come across any issues I will let you know.

I do have one question, FSCC control is in two places, under the GAME MENU (Allow staff support FSCC control), and in the GAME PLAY OPTIONS (Allow staff support FSCC control).
If you deselect or select it in the GAME MENU it does NOT deselect or select it in the GAME PLAY SETUP OPTIONS. How does this work? Does it have to be selected in both places for it to work?

Thanks

Thank you very much for the update. This will keep us busy so you can take your time on Southern Storm. [;)]

Hey, coming back to this after a LONG absence. Good work, I hope that lag issue I had has been fixed by now...

Well, only one way to find out.

No lag encountered so far at all. I may have just been lucky though, I'll keep playing.

Also digging through the datafiles... the Soviets got some pretty big buffs at origins [:D]

Artillery seems much more brutal now, has anyone else noticed this? I'm assuming it's part of the bugfix, maybe has to do with the long range (1500+ meter) tank combat fix?
