No additional air units in any sea areas. Roll high ... for axis search that is. [:D]

The allies will avoid combat if they can.

Sorry to leave at this critical time but it's my bedtime. [>:]

JA41 i4: Naval Combats
The CW is happy.
BoB, the IT Gabianno (NAV in the two box) initiates the searches. The Italian fighter on the N coast of Spain reacts to the 1-box. Search rolls of 7/7 result in no contact.
W. Med, The Italian fighter in the 0-box initiates the searches. A German fighter on the E coast of Spain reacts to the 0-box. Search rolls of 8/8 result in no contact.

JA41 i4: Land Attacks
Two attacks. No support available for the partisan defenders in France. In Spain, the odds were so overwhelming against the division, that I made the decision for you not to support the defended.

Turn 12. Jul/Aug 1941. Allied #5. Contested Sea Areas (Post Naval Moves).

The allies chose not to try to initiate naval combat in any of the contested sea areas. The axis, as the non-phasing player, had no opportunity to try due to the fact that the allies added neither ships or planes to any of the three areas.

I must admit that I was pleased with the outcome of the RAF ground strikes.

JA41 i6: Naval Combat Options
Japan and Germany take combined actions while Italy takes a land action.
Germany moves two subs to CSV 3-box.
Japan moved a CA through Canton and picked up a Mar-div and stopped in the 2-box of the Bismark Sea.
I will be initiating combat in the three possible zones (CSV, BoB, and W. Med). I suspect you will not fly any bombers/Navs to BoB and W. Med, but will likely fly something to CSV. Let me know what you would like to fly. I will start with the other two zones first.

JA41 i6: West Med.
Searches went the allies way big time (10/2).
Do you wish to engage or avoid. If engage, please provide instructions on zones to engage (the Bf-109, Freccia and CP are in the 0-box, everything else is in the 2-box).

JA41 i6: Naval Combat BoB
I assumed you would avoid, in the W. Med and continue. If you don't avoid, I'll go back and complete that combat.

In the BoB the German 6 pt fighter initiates the searches (the German fighter in W. Med 0-box, initiated those searches).
Rolls of 6/2 resulted in the CW finding 5 surprise points. Will you avoid here (this is even more likely than in the W. Med I suspect).

1. The CW chooses to avoid combat in both the Bay of Biscay and the West Med.

2. Also, I forgot to disorganize the two air units in those respective sea areas that attempted to initiate combat last impulse. I'll disorganize them and the two air units used this impulse when I get the turn back.

Do you want to fly the Skua or the Beaufort into the CSV, where the 2pt GE sub initiates combat?

Coward! [:-] [;)] Next time, with these searchrolls in the Western Med, you engage the enemy in the 0 box.

You've got 10 surprise points to reduce air-to-air combat on the Axis side to almost become very unattractive to them.
You could have killed of those 2 FTR's (or send them home). There are no Allied convoys or TRS in the Western Med too. And if one or the other Allied cruiser gets a hit next combat round, who cares...

They are expendable.

On the BOB decision, I agree.
