Is this really any different than the LRASM? The LRASM had an autonomous capability to distinguish targets and choose which ones to attack.

I'm a sense, the autonomous targeting capability has been around for a while, the Brimstone has it.

I completely agree. You can call simple PID loops AI if you broaden it far enough and that would peg it at 50 years ago for digital PID loop control.

There are certainly some works done to improve the existing DF-10/KD-20 cruise missiles in the PLA/PLAAF arsenal, but so far, the new DF-10A only features some guidance improvements.
Anyway, Zhuhai Airshow 2016 is right around the corner in November, and perhabs we will get a few surprises.
