Peter, Up844 has killed a panther with a stuart,(it's a shame [:-])

Can you correct it right away ?

A little bit of information please would help. What was the distance, was it a flank/rear shot? What was the elevation...thanks

It was a 1-hex shot at the rear of the Panther. At such close range, I think the 37mm should easily pierce the 40-45mm rear armor of the Panther.

On a side note, why are you mentioning elevation? Are falling shots more likely to penetrate? (I prefer taking the Allied side, and every little advantage I can get against the Panzers is welcome [:)])

Yes, elevation can influence the shot if the target is at lover elevation than the firing unit. Some restrictions apply...
