World of Warships

Post by ezzler »

I quite feel like a game. Haven't tried it in a month or so.
if I set my alarm for 5am, and I fire up the intro page, it might have finished all this months updates by the time I get home from work at 7pm.

I don't really - Can download a large game from Steam or from here in 15 minutes or so.
BUT WOW is ALWAYS like this for me. If my internet was as slow as it seems I'd never be able to play the game.

maybe its just update upon update?

Anyway - 55% now - Just over 2 hours.

I played Steel Ocean, not sure if this is the same. Played for couple of days, it was alright game, just a lot of grind and grind. Just wasn't my type of game. Got nice graphics and look realistic, but not realism though.

Don't know about Steel Ocean, but WOWS is akin to a 'first person shooter', but with ships. Nicely done and satisfies that FPS urge one occasionally gets. I recommend it. [8D]

Only problem is that it is run by Wargaming. Just wait and see how they will add more and more ships, then start patching the thing to pieces.

For an MMO, when they add more content they actually do it fairly smoothly. The patching is usually quick. I like some of the "pay to win" ships, but I won't spend money on buying them. I can't bring myself to justify spending $54.95 on the German battleship Tirpitz, especially for a casual game.

Overall the game is fun though. Way better than World of Tanks ever was/could be.
