Let's Play Beyond Extended Universe mod (A 0.62) as the Ergreagds

With the XHuman Authority series concluded and Troxean Confederacy series on pause, I'm going to start a new Let's Play series. This time we are playing the Ergreagds from the Beyond Extended Universe (A 0.62) mod.

- Beyond Extended Universe (Alpha 0.62) by Blackstork: tm.asp?m=3657646

- Nullsound alarm by Shark7: tm.asp?m=2479146&mpage=1
- Sea of Stars -- Ship symbols: tm.asp?m=4084687

The game is set at very hard difficulty and no pirates, and given that this is my first time playing an "AI Improved" derived mod, I plan to min/max many aspects of the game to make sure that I can keep pace.

I also plan to release about one video a day, time permitting, with minimal prerecording, so if you have ideas and suggestions, please comment on the videos and I will try to incorporate them.

Thank you! Any suggestions you have are welcome! I have published up to episode 5, with #6 and #7 pre-recorded. It seems my hope for early peace (in a chaotic, faction-ed galaxy) was a bit unfounded.

OK, I am caught up to Episode #8. A couple of things:

* Might you be trading Zentabia to too many other races?

*I like to sort my colonies by Revenue... may I suggest adjusting tax rates so that your cash flow can improve?

Other than that, I am enjoying watching it and hope you continue. [8D]

I think the Zentabia issue is moot right now, as the Boskar (? the green empire below us) controls it. Early on, I was using it to improve relations within the pact, but as time move on, I will eventually slow those trades down.

As for the money, I completely forgot about taxing the other colonies. I simply assumed that they were not fully grown, and was just letting them grow without taxes. The cashflow situation isn't bad, but I will definitely start taxing the bigger colonies.

I see, ok. Good luck! I like watching your play-through in part because I am completely unfamiliar with that mod. For that reason I am a little hesitant about commenting too much.
