Just a heads up I have a house move coming up that may cause a delay of a day or two in taking my turn I apologise in advance for any delay.

So are you moving the house or just moving to a new house? I have a relative who used to move houses. Really stress high job as the smallest mistake could destroy the house being moved. So insurance rates for house movers are very high. And sometimes you have to turn down jobs if there is no route to safely move the house to the new position.

To a new house (when I say new its just new to us) been renting in the UK since we arrived from the states, until we found a house we liked. Just moving from the south of England to the North no great distance by US standards.

I believe its Haudrauf1962 he is in fact the originator of GD1938 Game 23 requesting a game via opponents wanted we all obliged and joined, I calculate that if we all play turns at Haudrauf1962 pace we will finish this game sometime in the year 2020/2024 depending on how thw game plays out[:)]

If any one wishes to start another game of GD 1938 Game 24, a quick game, quick means play the turn when you can, secondary to all other needs. I would like to try China unless someone else wants to give it a go.

I'm still about 2 years from retirement, when I can devote much more time to my beloved hobby! BUT, I think I would like to play as the USSR in one more GD1938 game, if that's alright. [8D]

I can play France/GB (or only one of them), or any other country.
But are we going to stop game 23? It´s so full of possibilities.
Why don´t the British player take over France?

No need to restart game 23, its so far a pretty good game, but Game 23 is pretty slow no reason why it shouldn't be, after all no ground rules stipulating quick turns were made. So game 24 is to give players not included in the current game a chance to try GD 1938 and those players currently taking part in game 23 more gaming time than they currently have.

Unhappily the United States must witness the Western Hemisphere attracting the attention of European and Asian nations. Brazil has chosen closer ties to the USA and Argentina has chosen Japan. Germany seems to have brought the war to British colonies in South America.

We see that Marseilles has fallen, but Bucharest and Warsaw are holding. The Italians, who had pulled back from the Portuguese borders, are now back, and we wonder if they intend to invade Portugal. Portugal has ordered her border guards to be on alert. The United States considers Portugal a strong ally, and has troops in Portugal to help defend the small Iberian nation.

FDR

Here we have a map of Brazilian troops looking over the border to see if they can see a Japanese. So far, only tourists with cameras.

September 1939

Danzig is finally returned to Germany. Versaille avenged.

Again head scratching in Berlin Germany has no forces in or in fact anywhere near South America Central America or indeed North America, so how Germany is involved is a mystery, the US seems to determined to add Germany to every global event with a implication of involvement. Again Germany can only assume that the US has taken the side of the aggressor The United Kingdom and means at a future date to join in a European War of Conquest.

Heads being scratched here too.

Could these German hexes in South America be somehow associated with the capture of the Netherlands?

In any case we are sure the Europeans know who is waging a war of conquest.
