Lesson learned (about accounts)

Post by MrsWargamer »

Well I had a positive reaction from yesterday.

A. my Gamersgate file has been restored thanks to solving my account details. Normally I am ruthless about recording things but my Gamersgate game escaped that process. Thanks to customer support there.

B. needed my Battle Academy install file replaced. It too greeted me this morning. I sometimes prefer to use Steam and sometimes not. If I am not actually using any of my Steam only games I tend to prefer Steam not be installed. It's an intrusion when starting the hardware it's on.

As long as you purchase smart, the price is usually not the deciding issue.
I can use Steam as a choice, but I like having the choice to use an installation file from the source.
Works fine as long as you keep your account details up to date :)

Play with Barbies 05% of the time.
Play with Legos 10% of the time.
Build models 20% of the time
Shopping 60% of the time.
Exlains why I buy em more than I play em.

You can turn off Steam from starting (options or settings) when you boot up your PC...

Settings are rarely obvious or simple has been my experience :)
And sometimes that which we think we have done, is not what actually occurred.

Nothing says not running like uninstalled. And reinstalling Steam takes no effort.

True, but it just takes a little digging and experimenting...quite satisfying.
