Name of a band

Post by Freyr Oakenshield »

Hi,

I'm trying to remember the name of a band whose videoclip I saw in the 2000s...

What I remember is that it was most likely a band from the UK (English, Welsh or Scottish). The music was pop (Britpop?) or something similiar. In the videoclip, there was a young man and a woman, and they were working in a laboratory. They were walking around, doing different laboratory things, and the impression was that though they seem to be falling in love with each other, they were sort of too alienated or maybe reserved or shy to come up to each other and start talking...

Well, I know it's not much but if you have any associations, please let me know [&o]

Maybe a Blur tune?

No, I don't think it was Blur. It was slightly more electronic.

Actually, The Verve would better describe it, rather than Blur. But it was neither.

Actually, it's not British, but American, from Seattle, Washington. [:D] But I only vaguely remembered it and was under the impression it was British...

Anyway, the lost item has been found; query closed [8D]

I've got to say who borrowed from whom? It sounds so much like another tune I hear a lot on the radio.

I think he was referring to the "Sub Pop" record label, not "Brit Pop", "The Postal Service" record label, which is on the lower right of the video...

Too weird, I've had that song on my hard drive for years, but had never seen the video and the video really is not at all what I would have expected to go with the song, which seems to be much less clinical than the video...
