[ANSWERED] Axis Grand Campaign Garrison Levels

Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

[ANSWERED] Axis Grand Campaign Garrison Levels

Post by Darojax »

Hi

So yeah, in frustration I've surrendered another GC. The garrison system. There was a sudden turn of muddy weather which has made the total CV in NW France to drop from 105 to 83. Required garrison level is 100. I don't know how to work with this. Am I doing something wrong?

tnx

Dan

I think you need to keep extra troops or accept occasional penalties.

Sounds illogical/unbalanced to have the garrison CV required not adjusted for weather effects.

With mud everywhere garrisons can't hunt down partisans as good as in clear weather.

Dan,
It is not the weather. It sounds like a unit withdrawal.
You have to plan in advance with the reinforcement/withdrawal list on the control panel.
