Rolling Stones - Paint it black

Great song! Here is a semi-live (Jagger is singing live, instrumentation is not) version, I think, is from 1966. "Ready Steady Go!" was a popular British Pop music TV show...[:)]

Wow![X(] I have heard snippets of this song on a TV advert recently and then last night heard a 'choral' version at a concert my little warspite attended.

Got home and immediately downloaded this beautiful song

Birdy - Wings

Hopefully Scalla or someone will do a choral version I can download at some point in the future. Beautiful.

Just had a first listening of this song. Maybe it needs more listenings or a choral version because, while a good tune, I must have missed what you heard. [:)]

The song that followed was a different story.

Well that's the beauty of music. Not all music is for everyone.

Personally I liked this because of (in no particular order) her dreamy voice, the piano and glockenspielly sound at the start, the guitar, the lyrics and the tune. It would never receive a warspite 5-star because although all of the above are good (and makes it a 4-star) but there is not one item that makes my hair stand on end. The guitar threatens to evolve into a crescendo but never does. So having heard it on repeat while cutting the grass, I stand by my original comment [:)].

The video was interesting too.

How many here are musicians? Beginners, amateurs, professionals it does not matter. What instruments do you play? Do you sing? Read music? I'll start it off! [:)]

I love music so much but am not musical myself:

Instruments: Violin for two terms aged 10 (music lessons were free but then we moved and my parents could not afford the fees so that was that)
Singing: In the bath when no one is around to be offended by my inability to hold a note
Read music: No

Mrs W is equally untalented in this department.

The little warspites must get their ability (singing, Cello, Violin and Piano) from somewhere - but God only knows who from [X(]
