Indo China Militia

Post by 101Man »

Ok, I read the manual on this but I want to clarify:

I see the militia is activated upon crossing the border. Will shore or aerial bombardment alone trigger the militia activation? Thanks.

No, and after 1943 they will not activate at all.

Did not know that, thanks.

They aren't much to worry over.

I typically activate them as earl as I can so I can kill them off.

Right - they arrive with only a small % of their TOE and no heavy weapons. They are also static and restricted so they cannot be used in a war of maneuver.

The only danger is leaving them alone for a substantial period since they will fill out their TOE and gain morale/experience, making them much better defenders than they were initially.

What forces would you use to kill them off? It's late Feb '43 and I am clinging to Singapore, Sumatra, Java, and Rangoon...I don't have anything to spare at this time.

Presumably what you used to activate them, if you have activated them.

Or you can just wait for them to withdraw at the end of 1943 (I believe that's why they don't spawn).

Thanks for answering Loka

For me it's typically the Chinese as they have much closer access to Hanoi and Haiphong than the British.

How do you do it? In my game the Chinese barely hold on and cannot go on any general offensive...is there a post discussing managing the Chinese? Thanks.
